Are you struggling to keep on top of your emails? if the answer is yes, here are some of my tips for effective inbox management.
Start by creating some subfolders and assigning rules to the common emails so your inbox doesn't become overloaded. For example, I like to create a rule for all my marketing emails so they are automatically moved to a separate folder. This way it stops them from clogging up my inbox and they can be read when time allows or when I need to refer to them.
Once the groundwork has been laid it's a lot easier to manage your inbox. Another good tip is to move something to a relevant folder as soon as it has been actioned. I like to have my inbox as my to-do list, so it should only contain the items that need attention or are yet to be actioned.
I like to set aside some time each month/every other month to unsubscribe from any unwanted marketing email. You'll be surprised how much time this will save you over time.
Alternatively, you could look to outsource this to a VA for 1-2 hours per day to help manage your inbox for you. My inbox management is spread throughout the day so you can be safe in the knowledge that nothing will get missed.
